Syrian-Danish talks on cooperation in the field of community service and recovery projects

Damascus (ST) – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Louay Al-Munajjid and the Regional Director of the Danish Refugee Council in Syria Satshtira Chitrakar and the accompanying delegation on Monday discussed cooperation between the two parties in many areas related to the file of social protection and economic recovery.

Al-Munajjid affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide full support and facilities necessary for the organization’s work in Syria, and to establish social care programs supporting the neediest groups in various Syrian governorates.

He pointed to the need to strengthen cooperation with non-governmental organizations to work on many programs of common interest and to benefit the targeted segments.

For her part, Chitrakar stressed the importance of collaborating with the Ministry to work in many areas to achieve the necessary support for the targeted groups through social protection programs, community service and economic recovery and rehabilitation projects.
