Al-Mikdad to his Egyptian counterpart: A unified Arab position to stop the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people must be a top priority

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad made a phone call to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shukri.

Al-Mikdad stressed that the main reason for the eruption of the situation in the occupied territories is the criminal practices of the Zionist entity over decades of occupation of the West Bank and annexation of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and thus the failure to achieve a just solution to the Palestinian issue based on meeting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Al-Mikdad also stressed that a unified Arab position to stop the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and deliver humanitarian aid to the children of Palestine must be a priority for joint Arab work.

In turn, Shukri expressed Egypt’s deep concern about the current events in Gaza and the escalating aggression on Palestinian civilians by the Israeli occupation forces, and the escalation in south Lebanon and the Syrian territories.

Shukry pointed out that Egypt is making intensive efforts and contacts with many parties to calm the situation and bring humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza urgently.

He said that all efforts focus on the crisis from the moral and humanitarian perspective.
