Al-Mikdad to his Tunisian and Omani counterparts: It is necessary to adopt a unified Arab stance to stop the Israeli aggression against the people in Gaza Strip

Damascus – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad this evening made a phone conversation with his Tunisian counterpart Nabil Ammar, during which the two sides discussed developments in Gaza Strip and the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the people in the Strip.

Al-Mikdad stressed the need come up with a unified Arab position to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, and to provide relief and assistance to them with the participation of all the countries and forces that support the Palestinian right and condemn the crimes committed by “Israel” in the Gaza.

For his part, the Tunisian Minister affirmed his country’s support for the Palestinian people and its rejection of the Israeli aggressive war and practices against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip, stressing the need for urgent action to stop this aggression. He pointed out that Tunisia is making every effort to achieve this.

Al-Mikdad also made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman Badr Al-Busaidi during which the two sides discussed the dangerous developments in Palestine, and the killing, destruction and siege to which the people in Gaza Strip are being  exposed.

Al-Mikdad affirmed the importance of concerted Arab and international efforts to stop this treacherous Israeli aggression and the massacre committed by the Zionist occupation forces against the people in Gaza Strip.

He stressed the need to deliver humanitarian and food aid and restore water and electricity to about two million Palestinians living in Gaza Strip, whose suffering due to the occupation’s crimes is ignored by the West and the so-called humanitarians.

For his part, Al-Busaidi stressed that what is happening is a result of the continued illegal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and the ongoing attacks on the Palestinians, reiterating the need to stop the aggression against the people in Gaza and allow humanitarian relief aid to enter the strip. He also affimred the importance of working to mobilize global efforts to save the Palestinian people from the aggression and its disastrous effects at the political and humanitarian level.
