Syrian Journalists’ Union condemns Israeli occupation targeting of journalists in South Lebanon

Damascus – The Syrian Journalists’ Union has condemned the Israeli enemy’s crime of targeting journalists in South Lebanon which led to the martyrdom of a photojournalist and the wounding of several others.

In a statement on Saturday, the union stressed that this heinous crime is part of the occupation’s attacks on journalists and media outlets in Gaza Strip and occupied Palestine in order to prevent them from conveying the news and images about the genocide being committed by the Zionist enemy against innocent civilians in Gaza Strip.

The Union called on international organizations, media, humanitarian and legal institutions to held the Zionist entity responsible for this attack, noting the need to hold it accountable.

The union also called for action to guarantee the safety of the journalists while they cover events of the Zionist aggression on Gaza Strip and the occupied territories and put an end to the Israeli continuous crimes against the international law and the UN Charter.
