President Al-Assad: All should join efforts as to stop the incessant crimes being committed by “Israel” against the Palestinian people

Damascus- President Bashar Al-Assad has stressed Syria’s support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle to restore their rights which have been usurped for more than 7 decades by the Israeli occupation. He has also warned of the danger of the Israeli occupation’s aggression on civilians in Gaza Strip, affirming that all should join efforts as to stop the incessant crimes being committed by “Israel” against the Palestinian people, including the use of internationally-banned weapons.
The President made the remarks on Friday during his meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian and the accompanying delegation in Damascus.

Talks during the meeting focused on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the dangerous Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank. The two sides affirmed their support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

President Al-Assad said that the crimes and massacres currently being committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians aim at pressuring the Palestinian people to give up their legitimate rights. He asserted that the continued denial of the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state and live in dignity and freedom is the main reason for what the Palestinian territories are witnessing today, reiterating that the region wont witness stability if the Zionist entity and Western countries continue their denial and their attempt to obliterate this historical and humanitarian truth. He pointed out that the Zionist entity must implement international resolutions related to withdrawal from the occupied territories.

Abdollahian, for his part, stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to stop the crimes committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.
