950 martyrs and more than 5 thousand injured in Gaza Strip

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The number of victims of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip has risen to 950 martyrs and more than 5 thousand injured, in addition to the destruction of entire neighborhoods that caused severe damages to the infrastructure.

The occupation tightened its siege, cutting off the water and electricity, and prevented the entry of food, medical, and fuel supplies to the Strip. This has also worsened the humanitarian crisis.

Palestinian media reported that during the past hours the occupation aircrafts launched more than 100 raids on Palestinian houses in the Karama area, northwest of Gaza Strip, which led to the death of a number of Palestinians and the injury of others.

The ambulances and civil defense vehicles are also facing difficulty in reaching the area due to the intensity of raids and the destruction of roads, as the occupation aircrafts bombed an ambulance while evacuating the injured in the area resulting in the injury of two paramedics.

The occupation aircrafts launched a series of raids on homes in Jabalia camp and Beit Hanoun in the north of Gaza Strip, Rafah in its south, Sheikh Radwan Market in its west, and Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in its east, while bombarding with artillery the eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip, which led to a number of martyrs and dozens of injuries.

The Civil Defense of Gaza Strip stated that a large number of citizens are still under the rubble of the homes destroyed by the occupation and that the rescue teams do not have enough machinery and equipment to pick up the martyrs and injured.

Institutional sources in Gaza Strip warned of a humanitarian catastrophe as the power plant is expected to stop completely within hours due to the depletion of fuel.

The sources indicated that this catastrophic situation would worsen as the occupation’s aggression continues, which is something that can be described as the dirtiest crime of collective punishment against the defenseless civilians in modern history.

In the face of this reality that threatens the lives of more than 2.3 million Palestinians living in Gaza Strip, the international community and its humanitarian and relief organizations must act quickly to stop this crime and this multi-form mass killing, and not to leave the Strip’s residents as hostages to the killing tools used by the occupation.
