DAMASCUS,(ST)_Executive and legislative authorities are working together to ease the sufferings of the citizens affected by the ongoing crisis nationwide.
A meeting was held on Monday between the national reconciliation committee at the People’s Assembly (The Parliament) and the Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda Shammat to debate relief file and humanitarian aid being offered to the citizens affected by terrorism being practiced by the armed groups operating in the country.
The committee’s head, MP Omar Ousi was quoted on the official news agency as saying that the today-gathering aims at laying bare mistakes and enhancing cooperation to improve situation of displaced citizens who are temporary living in shelters.
Humanitarian file
He underlined the necessity of hauling aid to those who are in need and holding aid manipulators accountable, adding that the members of the reconciliation committee can play an active role in the relief file.
For her part, Dr. Shammat said the ministry is exerting every possible effort to remove obstacles that face the relief file, stressing that allegations against the Syrian state, as regard humanitarian file, aims at putting pressure on the Syrian government to serve foreign agendas.
“Terrorist groups hinder the delivery of humanitarian aid to provinces of Der Ezzour and al-Hassaka. That is why the aid is being sent by air despite the difficulty of this measure,” the minister said.
