Resistant Gaza Strip vis a vis the Israeli aggression

Occupied Al-Quds- (ST) – The Israeli occupation’s continued aggression against Gaza Strip for the third day is the ninth brutal aggression it has launched against Gaza, since the Palestinian resistance forced the occupation forces to leave the strip after a humiliating defeat in 2005.

After its humiliating withdrawal from Gaza Strip, the occupation resorted to imposing collective punishment against the people in the strip. It imposed a land and sea blockade in January 2006 and tightened it in mid-June 2007 in a crime against humanity that targeted about 2.3 million Palestinians, causing them great suffering and crises that included all walks of life.

The occupation wars against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip began in 2008 through which the occupation committed dozens of massacres leaving thousands of martyrs and wounded, in addition to massive destruction of homes and infrastructures in an attempt to break the will of the Palestinian people.

The first large-scale aggression launched by the occupation against the Gaza Strip between December 27, 2008 and January 18, 2009, during which 1436 Palestinians wee martyred and more than 5400 others were wounded.

The second aggression between took place between November 14 and 21, 2012, which led to the martyrdom of 180 Palestinians and the injury of more than 1300.

The third one occurred between July7 and August 26, 2014, during which 2322 Palestinians were martyred and 11thousands were injured.

The fourth aggression, which was launched on May 3, 4, and 5, 2019, led to the martyrdom of 27 Palestinians and the injury of 154.

The fifth aggression happened on November 12, 13, and 14, 2019 and led to the martyrdom of 34 Palestinians and the injury of a hundred.

The sixth aggression took place between the 10th and 21st of May, 2021 during which 257 Palestinians were martyred and 2000 were injured.

The seventh aggression was launched on August 5, 6, and 7, 2022 and it led to the martyrdom of 49 Palestinians and the injury of 360.

The eighth aggression occurred between May 9 and 13, 2023 and led to the martyrdom of 33 Palestinians and the injury of 190.

The ninth aggression began on the 7th of October, 2023 and has so far resulted in the martyrdom of some 500 Palestinians and the injury of more than 2700.

These wars and attacks were preceded by dozens of massacres against the people in the Gaza Strip, the most prominent of which are:

Bureij Camp Massacre – August 1953, in which 20 Palestinians were killed and 62 were injured.

The Gaza massacres – February, May 1955 and November 1956 led to the martyrdom of 380 Palestinians and the injury of 103.

The massacres of Rafah, Khan Yunis, Al-Bureij, Jabalia Camp, and Al-Daraj neighborhood – in 2002, led to the martyrdom of 81 Palestinians died, and about 450 were injured.

The massacres of Jabalia Camp and the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja’iya neighborhoods  in 2003, resulted in the martyrdom of 65 Palestinians and the injury of more than 250.

The massacres of Rafah, Bureij, and the Shuja’iyya, Zaytoun, and Nuseirat neighborhoods in 2004, led to the martyrdom of 191 Palestinians and the injury of 439.

The Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun massacres – January 2005 and November 2006, killed 28 Palestinians died and 54 were injured.

The Massacre of the one Million March of Return on May 14, 2018, resulted in the martyrdom of 60 Palestinians and the injury of 2771.

The occupation’s wars, attacks, and massacres committed in Gaza Strip and the great destruction after turning the strip into the largest prison in the world would not enable the occupation to undermine the steadfastness and resistance of the Palestinian people.
