Colombian President condemns the continuous Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Bogotá, (ST) – Colombian President Gustavo Petro condemned the continuous Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of hundreds of Palestinians and wounded thousands, including a large number of children.

Petro said on his account on (X) platform: The children of the Israeli entity will not be happy to sleep in peace unless their Palestinian peers are happy with peace. He attached his post with pictures of Palestinian children who were martyred as a result of the occupation’s attacks. He said: These pictures are of Palestinian children who were killed at the hands of the illegal occupation of their lands”.

Petro stressed that the war and the continued attacks by the Israeli occupation will not achieve hoped- for peace which can only be achieved through a solution that respects international legitimacy and achieves the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

Petro posted on his account archival photos of the Nakba and a map showing the path of the occupation of Palestinian lands over the years.
