Syrian and Egyptian delegations visit the Syrian Embassy in Cairo to offer condolence over the martyrs of the terrorist attack on Homs Military Academy
Delegations from the Syrian Community and the Branch of the Syrian Student Union in Egypt and a number of Egyptian political and party figures, in the building of the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Cairo, offered their condolences to the martyrs of the terrorist attack on the Military Academy in Homs.
Members of the Syrian Community and students studying in Egypt participated in a solidarity stand organized by Student Union Branch in cooperation with the Embassy, during which they expressed their support for Syria, its leadership, its army and its people, their absolute support for the war that the Syrian Arab Army is waging against terrorist organizations, and their support for the Syrian state until the entire territory of Syria is liberated from terrorism and foreign occupation.
In turn, Syrian’s permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Hussam Al Din affirmed that the cowardly terrorist attack will increase the Syrian’s determination to to combat terrorism and defend their country in the face of conspiracies directed against it, noting that ” the coincidence of the terrorist attack with the fifth anniversary of the October Liberation War proves the organic connection between the terrorist organizations and the Israeli occupation entity, and also confirms the unity of the battle against terrorism and occupation, and that the enemy is one, no matter how different the names and tools are”.
For his part, the head of the branch of the Syrian Students Union in Egypt, Abdullah Junaid, stressed the students’ condemnation of the terrorist act and their stand behind their leadership, army, and people in their war on terrorism.
In addition, ac member of political bureau of the Progressive Unionist National Rally Party, Salah Suleiman, offered his sincere condolences to the Syrian state, its valiant army, and its steadfast people for the victims of the attack, stressing “their standing by Syria and their solidarity with it in its battle against terrorism, which moves according to external plans and implements goals hostile to Syria and the Arab nation”.
For his part, the head of the Nasserite Arab Democratic Party, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Ela, said: “The battle that Syria is waging is the same battle that Egypt is waging against one enemy, and its martyrs are the martyrs of Egypt and Arabism,” pointing out that “the terrorist hand that strikes in Syria is the same hand that is lurking in Egypt”.
