Israeli occupation imposes strict siege on the West Bank

Today, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a strict siege on the West Bank, preventing Palestinians from entering or leaving it.

Wafa Agency reported that the occupation forces continued to close the checkpoints surrounding the city of Jerusalem for the second day in a row, and also prevented worshipers under the age of 55 from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation forces closed the Karama crossing in Jericho and all entrances to the city of Bethlehem and the towns of Al-Khader, Beit Fajjar, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour, Marah Rabah, Tuqu’, Za’atara and Janata in the city. The occupation forces closed Al-Hamra checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley and its military checkpoints in Jenin and the towns of Salem, Al-Jalama and Barta’a to the south, and prevented the movement of goods and Palestinians.

The occupation forces completely separated the east of the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus, from its west, after closing all roads leading to the main street in the town with dirt barriers.

The occupation forces stationed at the northern entrance to the city of Hebron fired bullets at a Palestinian young man, wounding him. They raided homes in several neighborhoods in the city and in the town of Halhul to the north, and the towns of Al-Mughayir in Ramallah, Al-Khader in Bethlehem, Yatma, Qabalan, and Tal in Nablus, and arrested eleven Palestinians.

Settlers, protected by the occupation forces, also stormed the village of Jalboun, northeast of Jenin, and attacked Palestinian homes and property.
