President Al-Assad receives a condolences cable from the Iranian President for the martyrs of the terrorist attack on the Military College in Homs

Damascus (ST): President Bashar al-Assad received a cable of condolences from Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi regarding the martyrs of the terrorist attack that targeted the graduation ceremony of military college officer students in Homs.

President Raisi said in his telegram: We in Iran, government and people, feel sorry for this attack, which led to the martyrdom and injury of a large number of young officers, and we expect that international institutions, especially the United Nations Security Council, will fulfill their responsibilities regarding this terrorist attack.

President Raisi indicated that the continuation of terrorist attacks in Syria in recent months is due to the continued intelligence, security and logistical support to terrorists in order to prevent the establishment of complete stability and security in this country.

The Iranian President stressed that responsibility for this tragic incident lies with the foreign supporters of terrorist groups, including the occupiers of Syrian lands, who prevent Syria from exercising its national sovereignty over its lands and effectively combating terrorism.

He pointed out that this criminal act showed that those who oppose security, stability and development in the region are continuing their terrorist and brutal approach that the Syrian people have suffered from, adding: Helping to create a space for the continued survival and operations of ISIS and Takfiri terrorists in Syria is an act that is consistent with and complements the Zionist entity’s aggression against the national sovereignty of Syria.

At the end of his cable, the Iranian President offered condolences to President al-Assad, the government, army, and people of Syria and all the survivors of the attack, calling on God Almighty for a speedy recovery for the wounded.
