The Sweidiyeh electricity generation facility out of service as a result of being targeted by the Turkish occupation

Hasakeh (ST): The Turkish occupation aircraft attacked this morning the electricity generation facility of al-Sweidiyeh in the Al-Malikiyah countryside in the far north-east of the country, causing it to go out of service.

The director of Hasakeh Electricity Company, Engineer Saleh Idris, said: The Turkish aggression against the station caused it to catch fire and cause significant material damage, noting that the Sweidiyeh generating facility is the only source in the governorate that feeds the service lines that are excluded from electrical rationing.

Idris added: We will currently rely on the small amount of electrical current coming through the electricity line (230 kv) from Tabqa to Hasakeh to feed the service lines (water, hospitals, ovens and communications), to ensure the continued provision of service to citizens.

Yesterday, a number of electrical transmission stations in Qamishli and Amuda went out of service as a result of the Turkish aggression with drones. The aggression also caused the Alouk water station to stop after targeting the energy sources feeding it in Amuda and Ad-Darbasiyah.
