Egypt condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on the Military College and calls on the international community to intensify efforts to eradicate terrorism

Cairo (ST): Egypt condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted the graduation ceremony of military college officer students in Homs.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today: “The Arab Republic of Egypt condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted the Military College in Homs in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, and resulted in dozens of victims and injuries.”

It added: “Egypt extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the sisterly state of Syria, and the families of the victims,” praying to God to shower them with His mercy, and expressing its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position in rejecting all forms of violence, terrorism and intimidation of citizens, calling on the international community to intensify efforts to uproot terrorism and dry up its sources of support and financing.

Sudan condemns the terror attack

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry also condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with Syria and offered deepest condolences to the Syrian leadership, government and people and to the families of the victims on this tragic loss.
