16th al -Bassel Exhibition for Creativity and Invention Opened
DAMASCUS, (ST)- In a move that reflects the spirit of the challenge to the Syrians and their determination to continue creativity and invention and deliver the civilized message to the world, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Protection opened here recently the 16th Bassel Exhibition for Creativity and Invention in cooperation with the Association of Syrian Inventors
and the General Organization for Markets and Fairs at al –Baraat Center.
During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Protection, Samir Qadi Amin, said that the fair aims to embrace innovations and the national inventions and put into practical application and benefit including the resettlement of thought and principle of creativity and invention in all stages of age.
He pointed out that the exhibition comes to support inventors and provide all the facilities to
and help them to use of the current global the techniques and instruct them in order to access to global databases.
For his part, the Minister of Education, Dr. Hazwan al –Wazzan explained that the exhibition includes inventions of persons of different ages, which affirms that Syria is rich in the minds of her sons that we are today in need, noting that the medals obtained by the Syrian creators of international competitions were a message provided by the Syrian people to the world.
For his part, Minister of Higher Education, noted that al -Bassel exhibition is a successful experience that carries seriousness and continuity and this is what has been mentioned by
the creators and inventors participating in the exhibition.
The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Kheder Orfali, confirmed the importance of linking the invention with invest in Syria , because it contributes to the achievement of the support and the success of our industry and the advantage of any invention or creativity will be of economic futile to achieve added value to our local product.
He said that the establishment of the al -Bassel exhibition is a valuable opportunity to enable
our inventors to display their production and publicize it to find a place in the labor market, especially that Syria will witness large investments in various sectors in the next phase of reconstruction.
The director of the exhibition, Yasser Seda, said that the exhibition includes three main parts:
the definition of inventors who received awards, local inventors and students who have crude ideas and need development and training to assist them in the formulation of their ideas scientifically and get a young energetic as reflected positively to the economic situation.
For his part, the representative of the General Organization of Markets and Fairs, Mohammed
al -Jamal, point that his organization is a sharing and supportive body that offer all necessary potentials for the success of the exhibition and especially in light of the crisis in the country.
A group of Syrian inventors on the scientific level and about 50 creative students from universities and high schools and a number of research organizations and specialized scientific bodies took part in the exhibition. Seven Syria professors have patented an international scientific award certificates in international exhibitions, a number of scientific research bodies and the Syrian Investment Authority also took part in the exhibition.
