The Union of Charitable Societies in Damascus receives medical aid from the Syrian community in Egypt

The Union of Charitable Societies in Damascus and its countryside received on Wednesday medical aid for patients with kidney failure, provided by members of the Syrian community in Egypt.

The aid included medical materials used in kidney dialysis for about 450 patients 

Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus, Daleen Fahd, stressed in a statement to reporters the importance of the Syrian communities role in light of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the West on Syria. 

She noted that the ministry is working to provide facilities to enhance the role of non-governmental organizations NGO in helping needy groups. . 

In turn, Haitham Saltaji, a member of the Board of Directors of the union of chartable societies said that the assistance provided contributes to alleviating the financial burden of the centers that work to help patients with kidney failure, indicating that a number of Members of the Syrian community in Egypt donated materials sufficient to conduct 6,000 dialysis sessions.  

He pointed out that out that the number of devices designated for kidney dialysis at the centers affiliated to the Union reaches about 38 devices.
