Israeli occupation killed 3 Palestinians, injured 29 others in attacks on Al-Quds city during the third quarter of 2023

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Oct.3, (ST)- The Al-Quds Governorate has revealed that 3 Palestinians were martyred, and 29 others were injured in the city, as a result of the Israeli occupation’s attacks on the city during the third quarter of this year.

The governorate said in a report issued by Wafa News Agency that 3 martyrs, including a child, were shot dead by the occupation forces last August, bringing the number of martyrs in the city from the beginning of this year until the end of September to 12 martyrs, including 4 children, while 29 people in the city were injured and hundreds suffered from suffocation because of poisonous gases.

It added that the occupation forces arrested 132 Jerusalemites, including 62 children and 32 women.

The governorate pointed out that the settlers carried out 55 attacks on the city’s neighborhoods and seized the home of the Sub Laban family in the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to their continued raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, where 14,886 settlers stormed it.

It indicated that the occupation continues to expand settlement operations in Al-Quds [ Jerusalem], as it completed the establishment of a settlement tunnel under the Umayyad palaces near the southern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and announced plans to establish 450 settlement units near the town of Jabal Mukaber and 670 settlement units in the town of Beit Safafa, while demolishing 38 houses and facilities.

The government added that the occupation forced 17 Palestinians to demolish their homes, carried out 19 land razing operations, and handed out 84 demolition orders for a number of commercial establishments and homes in the neighborhoods of Wadi Al-Jouz, Wadi Hilweh, Sahel Biddu, and the Al-Suwanah area.

It also referred to the continuity of the occupation’s fierce attack on the schools of the city of Jerusalem, targeting the Palestinian curriculum and Palestinian students, as its forces arrested school students several times during the month of September, searched them, and seized their books.
