Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The occupation is trying to impose new facts that change the legal and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s escalation of its attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque is an attempt to impose new facts that would introduce decisive changes to its historical and legal reality and Judaize it, pointing out that the silence of the international community provides cover for the occupation to continue its crimes.

The Foreign Ministry indicated in a statement today, reported by Wafa Palestinian News Agency, that the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities confirm its persistence in seizing more Palestinian land, and practicing the ugliest forms of ethnic cleansing in Al-Quds and the rest of the West Bank areas within the framework of gradual annexation processes, which leads to undermining any opportunity to establish a Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

On his part, the Palestinian National Council stressed that Al-Quds will remain the eternal capital of Palestine, noting that the occupation forces and settlers’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, their assault on those stationed there, and the arrest of a number of them is a brutal crime and an attempt to impose a reality that the Palestinians will not accept, no matter the cost.

The Council pointed out that the occupation is committing crimes against the Palestinian people and assaulting holy sites in full view and hearing of the world, which requires serious international action to stop it.
