Syria’s Youth Organization celebrates its 55th Foundation Anniversary, stresses keenness on strengthening the youth’s role in society
The Revolutionary Youth Union (RYU) has stressed that it will continue to play its role in enhancing the youth’s role in society and in Syria’s process of reconstruction and development.
Marking its 55th foundation anniversary, the Youth Union organization said in a statement that since its establishment in 1968, it has been keen on preparing, qualifying and educating a young generation in a way that serves the national interest and goes in line with their aspirations, talents, abilities and creative skills.
The organization noted the important national role played by the youths to face the repercussions of the earthquake that hit the country last February, clarifying that the organization opened its headquarters in the affected provinces to host the affected families and to provide them with necessary assistance and held many training and awareness activities on means of confronting the impacts of the disaster.
The organization vowed continuous loyalty to the homeland and to the principles of defending the country’s unity, sovereignty and independence against the forces of terrorism, hegemony and occupation.
