Comprehensive strike in Ramallah and Al-Bireh in protest against the occupation’s crime of killing a young Palestinian

Today, Saturday, a comprehensive strike was staged in the Palestinian cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh in protest against the Israeli occupation continuous crimes against the Palestinians, the latest of which was the crime of killing the Palestinian youth Muhammad Jibril Rummana yesterday evening, Friday in Jabal Al-Tawil in the city of Al-Bireh.

The strike included all aspects of commercial life and the public and private sectors, including educational institutions in the two governorates.

The Fatah movement in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh region called in a statement for a comprehensive strike and a general mobilization, following the martyrdom of Rummaneh.

Rummana was martyred after the occupation forces opened fire on a vehicle in which he and another young man were traveling, near an Israeli settlement established on the lands of Jabal al-Tawil, in the city of Al-Bireh, wounding the two young men before they were detained.

Speaker of the Palestinian National Council Rawhi Fattouh said in a statement that the continued international silence over the occupation’s crimes and violations against the Palestinians, and the lack of deterrence, encourages the Israeli entity to continue and repeat its crimes.

He stressed that the escalating daily field executions against the Palestinians by the Israeli occupation forces, reflect the true nature of the Israeli entity which is founded on massacres and racist ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.
