At an estimated cost of 42.8 billion, a new investment license in the field of chemical industries granted
Damascus (ST): The Syrian Investment Authority granted a new investment license in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 18 of 2021 for a phosphoric acid manufacturing project in the “Adra Industrial City” in the Damascus Countryside Governorate.
In a statement to news correspondent, the Director of the Syrian Investment Authority, Madin Diyab, confirmed that the project’s products are in increasing demand locally and globally, especially with the increasing interest in supporting and developing agricultural production to achieve food security by relying on national resources and reducing the import bill, pointing out that phosphorous acid is included as a raw material in many important industries, the most important of which is the formation of two types of fertilizers used in agriculture, whether nitrogen or phosphate.
He added: The cost of the project amounts to 42.8 billion Syrian pounds, and it is expected to provide 135 job opportunities.
