Shalabata: Strategic partnership between China and Syria an important element in a multi-polar world

Prague – Head of the Czechoslovakian Institute of International Relations Jaromir Shalabata has stressed that strategic partnership between China and Syria is an important element for building a multi-polar world.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague on Wednesday, Shalabata said that the visit of President Bashar Al-Assad to China has put Syria where it should be, that is; in the strategic partnership between China and Syria and in the process of work to build a new multi-polar world where equality, respect and justice for all prevail.

He asserted that the results of talks between Syria and China constitute an important and influential element in the development of the situation in the region and the world as peace and security can’t be attained except in a multi-polar world that is built by sovereign countries with moral values on the basis of respect and equality and where hegemony, arrogance and theft of peoples’ resources have no place.

Shalabata reiterated that a unipolar world order brings disasters to peoples as it damages peoples’ interests and undermines their human and moral aspirations, noting the emergence of a new situation in the world and stressing that President Al-Assad’s visit to China and the announcement of strategic partnership between the two countries is the best proof of progress towards the hoped-for world.

He expressed his confidence that Syria will triumph in the confrontation of the terrorist ad economic challenges and will restore its key role.
