In response to Netanyahu’s threats Iran stresses it will spare no effort to defend its national interests and people

New York– Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani has strongly condemned the nuclear threat uttered by the Israeli entity’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Iran at the United Nations General Assembly session.

Iravani ‘s condemnation was expressed through letters to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, to the President of the UN General Assembly Dennis Francis and President of the UN Security Council Ferit Hoxha on September 25.

In his letters, Iravani strongly condemned Netanyahu’s remarks as they were in clear violation of international regulations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will spare no effort to fulfill its legitimate rights to defend its national interests, the ambassador wrote.

During his September 22 address to the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu made explicit threats to use nuclear weapons against Iran, a sovereign member state of the United Nations, by asserting: “Above all — above all — Iran must face a credible nuclear threat. As long as I’m prime minister of Israel, I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons.”, according to IRNA.
