In support of the Palestinian captives and detainees in the occupation prisons… a solidarity stand in front of the UN headquarters in Damascus
Today, the Palestinian resistance factions in Syria organized a solidarity stand in front of the United Nations headquarters in Damascus in support of the Palestinian captives and detainees in the prisons of the Zionist occupation, and to demand an end to the ongoing crimes of the occupying entity against the Palestinian people.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the participants in the protest called for urgent intervention and to work with the international community to stop the administrative rulings imposed by the occupying entity on the Palestinian people, to stop punitive measures against prisoners and detainees, especially with regard to treatment and visits, and to refute the occupation’s pretext that the captives pose a threat to “Israel’s” security.
The participants also called for serious work to hand over the bodies of the captives , who numbered more than 12, on top of them the martyr Khader Adnan, who was martyred after a hunger strike for 86 days, as well as the bodies of the martyrs held in the refrigerators of the dead, while the occupation entity ignores all international laws that ensure that the bodies of the martyrs are handed over to their families, in order for them to be buried in a manner befitting human rights. The participants also called for immediate action to stop the daily killing of Palestinian children and the arbitrary measures of the occupying entity, especially the searches of Palestinian girls and women.
In the letter, which was received by Dr. Khaled Al-Masry, a media advisor to the United Nations in Syria, the participants stressed the need to pressure and assist UNRWA in order to provide aid to the Palestinian people in Syria and rebuild what was destroyed by terrorist organizations in the Yarmouk camp, stressing the necessity of working to lift the siege on Syria, which affects the lives of both Syrians and Palestinians living in the country.
