Havana (ST): The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Cuban embassy in the United States of America.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement that “anti-Cuban groups resort to terrorism due to moral bankruptcy and their hatred for Cuba,” warning that the approach of impunity and failure to hold perpetrators accountable by the American authorities encourages the commission of acts of this kind.
The statement added: “The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations stipulates a special obligation that falls on the United States, as a receiving country, to take all appropriate measures to protect mission buildings from intrusion or damage, and to prevent disturbing the tranquility of these missions or attacking their dignity,” calling on the government of the United States to act in accordance with this Agreement.
