Russian diplomats: President Al-Assad’s visit to China confirms Syria’s adherence to its national decision

Two Russian diplomats stressed that President Bashar Al-Assad’s visit to China is an indication of Syria’s adherence to its independent national decision, pointing out that the visit indicates a new trend in the region seeking to build more fair relations for its countries.

“The visit of President Al-Assad to China and the discussions he held with the Chinese leadership is a new element in the development of the situation in the Middle East,” said the Vice President of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Ambassador Andre Bakkalanov.

Bakkalanov added: “President Al-Assad has entered history for preserving the independence of Syria, maintaining its national decision and protecting the country against falling into the conspiracies that were woven against it as happened in some countries of the region.”

He pointed out that Russia, China, Iran and Syria will continue to work to end the conspiracies in the Middle East region, and for the sake of the people of the region to solve their own problems away from external dictates.

He stressed that President Assad’s visit to China will increase Syria’s adhere to its national decision, and this was and still increases the respect of its partners to it.

In turn, the director of the Institute of Contemporary International Issues of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a member of the Foreign Policy and Defense Council in Russia, Ambassador Alexander Karamarco, said that the stage, in which the United States considered the Middle East as a region of influence to it, has gone.”

He indicated that the Americans have abandoned their friends during difficult times, knowing that they did not consider anyone a friend of them and more than that they practiced provocations in the region.

He added: “The attempts of the countries of the region to resolve their issues themselves are gaining increasing importance, and this is noticed after the settlement of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia and the return of Syria to the League of Arab States.”

He stressed that President Assad’s visit to Beijing indicates that this trend, which was also confirmed by the strengthening of relations between Beijing and Tehran, as well as the tripartite maritime maneuvers between China, Iran and Russia show that the dominance of the United States in the Middle East has gone and a new stage to build more fair and beneficial relations for all countries of the region has begun.
