PA calls upon Intel’ organizations for halting aggression on Gaza
DAMASCUS, (S.T)-Syria has asserted its support for the Palestinian people and their just cause to restore their usurped rights including the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
On Saturday, the People’s Assembly issued a statement reading:” Regardless current circumstances and the scramble of the hegemony and colonialism forces, Syria’s leadership and people will remain the first line of defense for the Palestinian people and their just cause until the restoration of their usurped rights and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and the return of the refugees.”
It slammed the Israeli barbaric crimes against the unarmed Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip which the occupation authorities have turned since years into a prison of more than million and a half Palestinians under the glare of the world attention.
SANA quotes the statement as saying: “The Israeli aggression reflects the savage nature of the occupation entity and comes within the framework of its failed attempts to break the will and steadfastness of this resisting people.”
It added that the aggression “reveals once again complicity on the part of the Western countries which claim to support the Arab people’s rights and aspirations.”
“The Western countries are involved in this aggression through their attempts to justify these acts and defend the aggressor Israel,” said the statement.
It denounced stances of the Western countries, particularly those of the US, France and Britain, which bias towards the state terrorism practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian People.
The PA sees that international silence and the complicity of some Arab governments in the crime encourage the occupation authorities to go on with aggression.
“A serious pan-Arab awakening is required today from the Arab people to back the Palestinian people and to move towards the real direction of conflict which should be against the nation’s main enemy in occupied Palestine,” the statement added.
It called on all Palestinian parties to unify their ranks to confront the Israeli aggression.
It also appealed to the Arab people and all the world parliaments as well as international organizations “to shoulder their moral responsibilities and support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on the political, economic and humanitarian levels.”
The PA underlined the necessity of taking serious measures to put pressure on Israel to halt the genocide it has waged against Gaza and lift the illegitimate blockade imposed on its people, affirming that the blockage is considered “a crime against humanity and collective sanctions practiced against more than million and a half Palestinians in the Strip.”
