Moscow (ST): The Syrian team participating in the International Professional and Technical Masters Competition held in the Federal Republic of Russia won second place among the nine participating teams.
The competition concerns the profession of medical equipment of an engineering nature and the plumbing profession, which is one of the vocational and technical education professions in Syria.
The competition included drawing the skull of the head using a special 3D program through a set of “axial tomography” images of the head, assuming that there was a bone deficiency somewhere in the skull, then asking the competing teams to replace the piece virtually, and then performing a 3D printing process on the skull and the desired piece replacing it with a silicone material, then making a mold for it and casting it from a biomaterial that can be implanted in the human body.
