Syrian Trust for Development: Rehabilitation of 150 housing units in Deir Ezzour

Deir Ezzour (ST): Since it began working in Deir Ezzour Governorate in 2018, in cooperation with the local community and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the Syrian Trust for Development has been able to deliver approximately 150 housing units in the Al-Mustafa and Al-Jubaila neighborhoods in the city to resettle communities and enhance social stability, leading to recovery in the city.

The secretariat stated in a news story published on its Facebook page that the work also included the restoration and rehabilitation of a temporary residence center in the Rashidiya neighborhood, which was provided with the necessary equipment, and neighborhoods in Al-Hamidiyah, Al-Jubaila, and Sheikh Yassin after the end of the first phase of the engineering assessment of the condition of the damaged buildings, according to the opinion of specialist experts.

The secretariat confirmed that the requirements for residence and stability were provided to the population and job opportunities were provided that benefited more than 85 members of the local community during the project’s work stages.
