A lecture to support Palestinian case is held at the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh, Damascus

Damascus, (ST) – On Wednesday, the Al-QudsInternational Foundation Syria and the Syrian Arab Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project and the Palestinian Resistance Factions held a lecture entitled “The United Nations and the case of Palestine: Prospects after the Centenary of the Mandate,” at the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh, Damascus.

The former President of the Syrian League for the United Nations, Dr. Elias Jabour reviewed the legal aspect and the contradictions contained in the mandate imposed by the League of Nations, the attempt to legitimize it, and the tragedies that resulted from it.

Jabour stressed that the issue of Palestine exists in the conscience of the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world, and it will remain their first and central issue until the land is liberated and rights are returned to its owners. He stressed the necessity of supporting the resistance by all means.

For his part, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Quds Foundation, Dr. Yousef Asaad, stated that holding events that address the Palestinian issue and Zionist plans aims to spread awareness among segments of society, especially young people, to know the dimensions of these plans and inform them of the course of events in the occupied Palestinian territories.
