Putin: Russia and China to form a multipolar world

Moscow, (ST) –  Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia and China are starting from the same positions to form a multipolar world, which was confirmed by the Chinese President’s recent visit to Moscow.

During his meeting on Wednesday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Putin said: That visit gave a great impetus to the development of bilateral relations and international affairs as well, as we call for a multipolar world and not a world based on different rules that no one has seen and that change daily according to the interests of those who proposed that foolish formula.

The Russian President explained that he accepted the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jingbin to visit the People’s Republic of China in October of this year within the framework of activities to advance the Chinese initiative, “One Belt, One Road”, which has great international importance.

Putin stressed that this initiative fully responds to Russia’s interests and is complementary to its initiative on the establishment of a large-scale Eurasian space.
