Syria, Cuba discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields

During a meeting on the sidelines of the Havana Summit of the group of 77 and China, Finance Minister Dr. Kinan Yaghi discussed with Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries in various political, economic, commercial, cultural, scientific, and agricultural fields. 

The two sides stressed the importance of benefiting from the established historical Syrian Cuban relations, which have  contributed to raising the level of cooperation in all fields.

Minister Yaghi and his accompanied delegation, which includes the Chairman of Planning and International Cooperation Authority Dr. Fadi Salti Al Khalil, and the Syrian Ambassador to Havana Dr. Ghassan Obaid, held meetings with a number of Cuban ministers, including the minister of Defense, the minister of Industry, the minister of Communication, the Deputy Minister of Industry, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During these meetings, the depth and strength of Syrian-Cuban relations were emphasized, mutual support was demonstrated, and the full readiness of both parties was confirmed to continue working on strengthening bilateral cooperation, and to follow up on updating bilateral agreements through the Syrian Embassy in Cuba and the Cuban Embassy in Damascus.
