Lavrov: America fights Russia in Ukraine

Moscow, (ST) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that the United States of America is managing the war in Ukraine, supplying it with weapons and ammunition, and supporting it with intelligence information via satellites. He warned that the West’s continued pumping of weapons into Ukraine and fueling the conflict threatens the danger of a direct military clash between the nuclear powers.

Commenting on Washington’s decision to provide Kiev with long-range missiles, Lavrov said in a television interview today, according to Sputnik: America has been preparing Ukraine for many years to fight on its behalf to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, and they are leading the war against us.

He stressed that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia, noting that the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine not only by supplying weapons, but also by training Ukrainian military personnel on the territories of Britain, Germany and other countries.

Lavrov also warned that the West’s continued pumping of weapons into Ukraine and fueling the conflict threatens the risk of a direct military clash between the nuclear powers.

Yesterday, American media reported that Washington was close to making a decision to transfer missiles with a range of about 300 kilometers, which could be launched using multiple missile launch systems.
