Syria Vehemently Condemns Volgograd Terrorist Attacks

DAMASCUS- Syria on Monday condemned vehemently the two terrorist blasts which hit the Russian city of Volgograd yesterday and today.

A Foreign and Expatriates Ministry official source told SANA that “The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the two terrorist attacks which targeted the city of Volgograd in Southern Russia on Monday and offers condolences to the Russian government, people and families of the victims on having scores of people killed and wounded in the terrorist explosions.”

The source affirmed Syria’s deep concern over the dissemination of terrorism at the international level and over the crimes being perpetrated by terrorists against innocent people.

“Syria urges the international community to fight this phenomenon, which has started to expand worldwide. It also urges the countries which support terrorism to commit themselves to international resolutions and laws and stop aiding terrorists,” the source added.

Two terrorist blasts had targeted Volgograd’s railway station and a trolley bus in the city killing and wounding scores of people.
