European and American tourists visit the archeological city of Bosra Al-Sham

Daraa – A group of European and American tourists on Saturday visited the Syrian Archeological city of Bosra Al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa province.

The tourists saw the historical sites, including the citadel and the amphitheater, expressing their admiration over the monuments that indicate the greatness of Syria and the civilizations that flourished on its land.

Valentina, a member of the group from Romania, said that her visit to Bosra Al-Sham is an important station in her life, pointing out that the diverse antiquities all over Syria clearly indicate the importance of the region as a center of civilizations throughout ages.

Lweiza, an Irish tourist, said that Bosra Amphitheater is the best in the world and the archeological city of Bosra Al-Sham contains many antiquities left by successive civilizations whose traces constitute a witness to their greatness.

Victoria, a British doctor, noted the lack of promotion for Bosra Al-Sham city by the world human heritage organizations while they promote less important historical sites, calling for further support to give the real description of this archeological city.

Mathew Kandel, an American tourist, affirmed that “what saddens us is the fact that such cities are not given their real importance to humanity, particularly because Bosra Al-Sham is still populated. He called for establishing a network of infrastructure to create intermingling between the present, the past and the future.

Yesterday, a Brazilian group that comprised doctors, researchers and businessmen visited the archeological city of Bosra Al-Sham to learn about its civilization and historical monuments.
