Peskov said in a statement, commenting on an American decision to send confiscated funds belonging to Russian businessmen to support the Ukrainian forces: “This Washington decision is completely negative and we consider it an illegal act, and all cases related to freezing, arresting or keeping any funds related to Russian government, private and mixed property abroad “.
He added, “Any claims and allegations that they were able to find a justification for the continuation of this lawlessness are absolute legal nonsense and in any case will lead, one way or another, to litigation in the future.”
Peskov stressed that none of these cases of illegal detention will be tolerated, and he said: “Each case has its own characteristics and it is necessary to understand the details of each case, but all this will later become the subject of very serious lawsuits and will not simply let this matter pass.” .
On the other hand, Peskov made it clear that President Vladimir Putin does not plan to deliver a speech before the G-20 summit that will be held soon in India, noting that all work will be carried out by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Peskov pointed out that the experts, with the participation of Russia’s permanent envoy to the summit, will coordinate all documents related to the summit.
The G20 summit will be held in New Delhi from the 9th to the 10th of September, and the leaders of all the G20 countries and nine other countries have been invited.
