Launch of activities of Russia-China International Forum (Rostki) in Kazan, Russia

Today, the activities of the Russia-China International Forum “Rostki” began in the city of Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, with the participation of personalities representing various economic and industrial sectors.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said in a speech during the opening of the forum: “This is the first time that Kazan has hosted guests from China in an event like this thanks to the efforts of the leaders of Russia and China. There is an excellent opportunity to work at the regional level, as China is considered a reliable partner to achieve the goals and common interests of the two countries.”

Minnikhanov added: “We are waiting for the signing of agreements between Russia and China within the framework of the forum. We have a desire to hold it annually, and I propose to hold it next year in the period between the 14th and 15th of November. About 47 dialogue sessions have been prepared within the framework of the forum’s activities in 11 different fields.”

The forum’s activities will be held this year in Kazan from the 7th to the 8th of September, and the forum’s program includes various activities related to information technology, engineering, petro-chemistry, transportation, tourism, culture, health care, sports, and education.
