CAIRO, Sep.5, (ST)- The Arab Parliament has called on the international community, mainly the Security Council and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to intervene urgently to stop the Israeli occupation’s violations and arbitrary practices against Palestinian prisoners, and to protect them in accordance with international resolutions and the Geneva Convention on prisoners, and to support them until they achieve their freedom and legitimate rights.
In a statement issued today, the Parliament condemned the decisions of the Minister in the occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, related to reducing the visits of prisoners in the occupation’s jails to once every two months instead of once every month, indicating that the fierce racist attack launched by the occupation authorities against the prisoners will escalate the situation, which requires immediate action to stop it.
