Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for stopping the Israeli racist measures against educational institutions and students in Al-Quds
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday called on the international community and its institutions, most notably the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), to intervene urgently to protect the Palestinian education sector and force the Israeli occupation to stop its racist measures against educational institutions and students in occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
In a statement on Monday reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli occupation’s war against educational institutions in the city of Al-Quds, especially the restrictions and persecution to which students and teachers are exposed while on their way to their schools and workplaces, the most recent of which was the occupation forces blocking the road of students of the Sharia School and Al-Aqsa Kindergarten.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that these aggressive practices come within the framework of the occupation’s campaign to Judaize education in Al-Quds, and an open attempt to disturb the opening of the school year in the Holy City, and to practice the worst means of intimidation against Palestinian students.
