Medvedev pointed out that the Japanese authorities with the support of the Americans, have begun to actively develop the Japanese military infrastructure.Foreign weapons are being purchased, including offensive weapons, and restrictions imposed on the development of the Japanese “defense forces”  and military operations abroad are also lifted , stressing that “military maneuvers near the Russian Kuril Islands seriously complicated the situation in Asia Pacific region.

Medvedecv called on Japan to benefit from the lessons of history on today’s unforgettable anniversary, stressing that Tokyo must fully acknowledge the results of World War II, do everything in its power to prevent the outbreak of a third war, and abandon its military ambitions in the service of its people.

Medvedev pointed out that Tokyo, with its attempt to rewrite the history, justify war crimes and whitewash their perpetrates, as happened in the middle of the last century, is now supporting a new Nazi regime, and this time unfortunately in Ukraine.
