Beirut (ST): Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, stressed upon the the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, Syria and Lebanon.
Berri said in his speech: “We affirm our support for Syria in its struggle against dual Israeli and Takfiri terrorism, and in restoring its unity and sovereignty over the entire Syrian national territory and its right to invest its wealth,” praising the good efforts made by some Arab countries that resulted in Syria’s return to the Arab League.
Berri launched an initiative to get out of what he called the “impasse” in electing a president for the Lebanese Republic, calling for a national dialogue during the next month for a maximum period of seven days, then holding successive open sessions to elect a president of the republic.
