Syria participates in the 2023 World Informatics Olympiad, which is organized by Hungary with the participation of 89 countries.
The Distinction and Creativity Authority stated that the National Olympiad Informatics team has left the country today, heading to Hungary, to participate in the Olympiad, which began on the 28th of August, and will continue until the 4th of September.
The team includes students Muhammad Al-Zaybaq from Al-Saba Private School in Damascus countryside, Bernard Ibrahimsha from Al-Maarri High School in Aleppo, Amin Sharba from Al-Basel School for Talented Students in Damascus, Zain Al-Abidin Zammar from Al-Mashreq Private School in Aleppo, the team supervisor, Dr. Ammar Al-Nahhas, and Deputy Supervisor Ghaffar Daher.
It is noteworthy that this is Syria’s eleventh participation in the thirty-fifth edition of the World Informatics Olympiad, and our team won two bronze medals in 2022, and one bronze in 2021.
