Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on the UN to classify the Israeli occupation as an apartheid entity

Occupied Al- Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to classify the Israeli occupation as an apartheid entity.

The Foreign Ministry explained in a statement on Tuesday, reported by Wafa News Agency, that the daily crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians reflect a fully-fledged apartheid system, especially in Al-Quds, where the Palestins’  lands are seized by the occupation for settlement expansion, while the Palestinian owners of the land are forcibly prevented from reclaiming their land, building on it and benefiting from its resources.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the need for the international community to bear its responsibilities in applying international law to the situation in occupied Palestine in light of more than a thousand resolutions taken in favor of the Palestinian cause, but not a single resolution was implemented. It held the countries that provide protection for the occupation fully responsible for the failure to implement international law and to oblige the occupation to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy.
