70 national companies take part in the 150th session of “ Back to School” festival in Jaramana area

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, Aug.29, (ST)- With the participation of 70 national industrial companies, the 150th session of the “Made in Syria” shopping festival entitled “Back to School” was launched this evening in Jaramana area in Damascus countryside.

The activity is being held by the Damascus Chamber of Industry ,the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry and the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection.

The festival includes a wide variety of foodstuffs, detergents, clothes, shoes, stationery, and school bags.

Deputy Director of the Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry, Louay Nahlawi, referred to the importance of direct communication between the consumer and the merchant as the school year will start soon. “This helps in obtaining products at prices lower than the markets.”

For his part, Ahmed Al-Ahmad, General Manager of the Modern Conservatory Industry Company in Damascus, declared that the aim of his company’s participation in the festival is to present a group of the company’s products to consumers at discounts ranging between 10 and 15 percent.

The Director General of the General Company for Nylon Threads and Socks, Abdul Karim Al-Ak, referred to the company’s participation with Wassim Ready-made Garments and Al-Sharq Underwear Companies in the General Organization for Textile Industries’ pavilion, with the aim of marketing the products of the three companies and offering 15% discounts

The Official in Charge of Exhibitions at the Syrian Chemical Industries Company, Samer Qanbarji, pointed out that the company has continued to participate since the start of the sessions of these festivals by offering real discounts ranging between 10 and 15 percent, in addition to offering free gifts.

The festival will last until the 5th of next September, and receives its visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
