The Palestinian Prisoners Club: The occupation has detained more than 5,000 Palestinians since the beginning of this year

The Palestinian Prisoners Club revealed that the Israeli occupation forces have detained more than 5,000 Palestinians since the beginning of this year, 200 of them during the past week.

WAFA Palestinian news agency quoted the Prisoners  Club as saying in a statement today: “The past week witnessed a significant escalation in the detention process , which were concentrated in the cities of Al-Khalil(Hebron), Nablus, Ramallah and Jenin, as well as an escalation in the level of violations and assaults against detainees and their families. Material losses inside homes  were  a lot  as a result of the sabotage operations carried out by the occupation during the detention campaigns.

The club warned that the occupation has recently focused on detaining more than one person from the same family and the families of the martyrs, as well as targeting children and former captives who spent years in its detention centers, in a failed attempt to intimidate the Palestinians and undermine the escalating resistance against it.
