Infighting between armed groups kills and injures several terrorists in the countryside of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor, (ST) – The cities and towns of the Deir Ezzor countryside, which are controlled by the US-backed “SDF” militia, have been witnessing violent and continuous clashes between the SDF militia factions and the militants of the so-called Deir Ezzor Military Council, which is affiliated to the SDF militia. These clashes happened as a result of the arrest of the so-called leader of the council Ahmed Al-Khabil Abu Khawla, and a number of  council leaders, by the SDF militants and the American occupation, after they were lured to go to one of the American occupation bases in Hasakah.

Local sources told SANA that violent clashes took place between the militants of the “SDF militia” and the militants of the “Military Council” in the areas of al-Busira, al-Sour, Al-Izba, Al-Ma’amel, Al-Husan, Muhaimidah, Al-Kibar, Jadid Akidat, Al-Husayn, Daman, Gharanij, Abu Hamam, Al-Rubaida and Ibriha, which led to deaths and injuries from both sides.

The clashes coincided with the closure of the main roads and streets, amid a state of tension and security chaos prevailing in the province’s countryside.
