SDF militia, US occupation forces continue to dismantle and steal Syrian railway lines

The US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia, in cooperation with the US occupation forces, has dismantled and stole railway lines and equipment in the areas under its control in the provinces of Deir Ezzor and Hasakah. This crime comes within the framework of the continuous attempts by the occupation forces and the SDF militia to steal the Syrian national wealth and destroy the infrastructure of the Syrian state.

In a statement on Saturday, the General Establishment for Railways said that the SDF militia continues to steal the railway lines, including their infrastructure, equipment, vehicles and locomotives in the areas under its control in the governorates of Deir Ezzor and Hasakah.

The operation of dismantling railway stations in different areas in Deir Ezzor and stealing their equipment was recently monitored, the statement said.

It added that the US occupation warplanes, in cooperation with the SDF militia, targeted the railway bridges, the most recent of which was the big bridge on the Euphrates in the town of Al-Ramadi in Deir Ezzor.

The statement clarified that the systematic destruction of the railways is being done under the cover, protection and support of the US occupation and its tools and agents. It is part of the US evil scheme to steal the Syrian resources, including the oil, agricultural crops and water with the aim of increasing the economic pressure on the Syrian people and undermining the state’s ability to achieve growth.
