Iraqi President affirms importance of coordination and cooperation with Syria to serve the interest of the two peoples 

Iraqi President  Abdel-Latif Jamal Rashid met with the Syrian ambassador in Baghdad Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, who conveyed to him the greetings of President Bashar Al-Assad.
According to a statement by the Iraqi presidency, President Rashid stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation with Syria in the field of combating terrorism and issues of common interest, in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and peoples, and enhances security and stability in the region.
The statement added: “President Rashid conveyed to Ambassador Al-Dandah his greetings to President al-Assad and his wishes to the brotherly Syrian people for continued stability, security and prosperity.”
Ambassador Al-Dandah said he conveyed the greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to Iraqi President Abdel-Latif Jamal Rashid and his wishes to develop the horizons of Syrian-Iraqi cooperation and coordination to broad horizons.
Al-Dandah affirmed that the meeting with President Rashid was positive and fruitful, and he renewed the keenness of both sides to raise the level of coordination and cooperation in all fields to broader horizons in order to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
