Commander: Iran-Russia defense ties deepening day by day

Moscow – Commander of the Ground Force of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari has stressed that Iran-Russia defense ties are deepening day after another.

At the end of his official visit to Russia on Wednesday, Brigadier General Heidari said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown that it is serious in the fight against terrorism and will not only continue its interactions with Russia in this area, but such cooperation is deepening day by day.

Describing his visit to Russia as “timely” and “fruitful”, he stated that they reached good agreements during a meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Army’s Ground Forces General Oleg Salyukov.

Referring to the development of cooperation in counter-terrorism as part of the agreement between Iran and Russia, he underlined that the two countries are determined to expand cooperation in fighting against terrorism.
