Terrorism supporters to pay high price, stresses al-Halqi

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Prime Minister has said the western countries and Arab regimes that support terrorism will pay a high price for their involvement in shedding the Syrian people’s blood, noting that terrorism will be extended to them.

Dr. Wael al-Halqi’s remark was made as he met on Saturday a visiting solidarity delegation from Australia.

He added that stability in the region and the whole world can be realized through stop providing the armed terrorist groups with money and weapons.

The premier noted that the visits being paid by Academics, reporters and intellectuals to Syria can help convey the real image of what is going on in country to the public opinion.

“Syria’s support for resistance against the American-Zionist plot and it’s adherence to its principles are the main reasons for the political, military, media and economic war being waged against the country,” al-Halqi said.

Conspirators’ failure

He clarified that the conspirators that seek through their terrorist tools to weaken the Syrian Arab army have failed. “Our brave army is fighting a world terrorism came from 83 countries and it realizes victories at national level. The terrorists, operating in the country, hold extremist thought and some of them came from Australia.”

Al-Halqi also briefed the delegation on the steadfastness of national economy despite the daily terrorist acts that target the country’s infrastructures including – schools, hospitals, electricity, universities…etc.

On the other hand, he praised the stances of the Australian people, national parties, popular organizations, intellectuals and politicians that support the Syrian people in confronting terrorism.

The delegation expressed sorrow that Australians are fighting alongside the armed terrorist groups that kill the Syrian people, stressing their keenness to convey the real image to the Australian public opinion and to unveil the fabrications produced by some media outlets about the situation in Damascus.

They highly appreciated the sacrifices of the Syrian army and people in combating terrorism, describing what the Syrians have done as “an example” to be followed.
